Montserrat sets Nomination Day for October 10

Nomination Day for Montserrat’s General Election has been set for October 10.

The date was confirmed in the election writ signed by Governor Sarah Tucker following the dissolution of parliament on August 22.

Candidates will file their nomination papers at the Montserrat Cultural Centre in Little Bay.

Montserrat’s General Election is set to take place on Thursday 24 October 2024.

Nine seats are up for grabs in the Legislative Assembly.

In the last election, the Movement for Change and Prosperity, under the leadership of Joseph Easton Taylor-Farrell, won five seats to defeat the People’s Democratic Movement.
