Ministry of Housing Assisting with Refurbishment of Pigotts Sports Club Facility

Renovation work is set to begin next week on the Pigotts Sports Club facility following support from the Ministry of Housing, according to St. George caretaker Senator Michael Freeland.
Freeland announced that the ministry is assisting with the refurbishment of the structure that serves as the club’s office and dressing room for players and administrators. He said the building is currently being repositioned, with restoration works scheduled to commence shortly.
The upgrade, he noted, reflects the club’s commitment to growth, discipline and excellence, adding that the organization reached out for assistance to improve its facilities.
Freeland thanked Housing Minister Maria Browne, Senator Rawdon Turner and the Ministry of Housing for supporting what he described as a community-focused initiative.
He also highlighted the broader impact of sports on youth development and community cohesion, saying he remains committed to helping ensure that local clubs have the infrastructure needed to thrive.
The Pigotts Sports Club supports cricket and football programmes and is regarded as a key institution within the St. George constituency.
