A High Court judge has found Damien Joseph guilty of shooting with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in connection with a 2022 incident in St. John’s.
Justice Ann Marie Smith delivered the verdict after a judge-only trial where Joseph represented himself. The case stems from May 30, 2022, when he allegedly fired at fellow Cassada Gardens resident Kelvin Constant as he drove along High Street.
Court evidence showed Joseph discharged a firearm at Constant’s windshield, shattering a speaker tweeter before the bullet lodged in the truck’s cabin. Though uninjured, Constant immediately reported the incident.
Joseph remains in His Majesty’s Prison awaiting sentencing.
