A domestic altercation in Urilings escalated into violence on October 27, leaving one man seriously injured and another in police custody.

Carl Browne, 44, admitted in court to striking his brother, Adrien Price, in the face with a cutlass during an unprovoked attack.

Price was in the outdoor kitchen of a house, reaching into a refrigerator, when Brown suddenly struck him over the right eye.

Despite his injuries, Price managed to report the matter to the Johnson’s Point Police Station.

Confronted by police, Browne claimed his actions stemmed from suspicions that his brother had been “throwing things” into his drink and allegedly trying to “get rid of him.”

Browne appeared before Senior Magistrate Emmanuel unrepresented and pleaded guilty to the charges.

He has been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison, with sentencing set for Monday.
