A magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded early Sunday morning, March 23, 2025, at approximately 7:18 a.m. local time, according to the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI SRC).
The quake struck at a depth of 77 kilometers, with an epicenter located at latitude 17.69N and longitude 62.69W. The tremor occurred 43 km south of Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, 113 km southeast of Brades, Montserrat, and 113 km northwest of St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda.
There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
