Magnitude 3.7 Earthquake Recorded Near Antigua and Guadeloupe

The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI SRC) reported a magnitude 3.7 earthquake late Thursday night.

The tremor occurred at 10:22 pm local time (2:22 am UTC) and was centered at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The epicenter was located at latitude 16.17N and longitude 60.75W, approximately 88 kilometers east of Point-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe; 120 kilometers northeast of Roseau, Dominica; and 160 kilometers southeast of Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda.

This preliminary location and data were generated automatically by computer algorithms and are subject to revision following further analysis by SRC experts.
