Prime Minister Gaston Browne says the continued leadership of Jamale Pringle could politically benefit the governing Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party following the party’s landslide election victory.
Speaking on Pointe FM, Browne commented on the outcome of the April 30 general election, which left Pringle as the sole opposition member elected to Parliament after retaining his constituency seat.
The prime minister argued that Pringle’s leadership had not strengthened the opposition’s political position and suggested the ABLP could continue to benefit electorally if he remains at the helm of the opposition.
