The United Progressive Party is holding their grand finale closing rally of the campaign in…. All Saints East & St Luke. If you are on the road to victory, you do not hold your final rally of the campaign in what was previously considered your safest seat in the entire country.

If the UPP was on the road to victory, they would have already locked down All Saints East & St Luke and they would be holding their final rally not in their strongest seat, but in a seat currently controlled by the Antigua & Barbuda Labour Party.

If you’re in opposition, you need to hold all your seats and pick up seats. You should be playing offense – not trying to defend your strongest seat.

Given this reality, voters in Antigua & Barbuda must ask themselves: if the UPP is headed for defeat, why should you vote for a UPP candidate? You do not want an MP who is sitting in opposition for the next five years – an MP who doesn’t do anything and just constantly complains. You want an MP that you can hold accountable and who can deliver for you because they are in government.

The UPP is losing. Ask yourself if you want to be on that losing team? And, if you’re in All Saints East & St Luke, St Philip South, St. Mary’s South or any constituency across the country, ask yourself, do you want a do nothing, complain a lot opposition MP?
