Is the Curfew for Minors Still in Effect?

Dear Editor,

The government’s curfew for minors, set from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., was introduced to address youth loitering and promote safety. However, during the recent Christmas and New Year holiday season, I noticed many minors loitering on the streets well past curfew hours, raising concerns about the enforcement of this important measure.

Is the curfew still in effect, or has it been temporarily relaxed? If it remains active, what steps are being taken to ensure minors comply, especially during festive periods when late-night gatherings are more common?

This curfew was intended to protect our young people and discourage anti-social behavior, but its success depends on consistent enforcement. I urge the authorities to clarify its current status and take additional measures to monitor compliance, particularly during high-traffic times like the holidays.

A clear explanation and visible action from the relevant officials would reassure the public that the safety of our youth remains a top priority.

Sincerely,
Single Gay Man
