APUA’s Incompetence and Unacceptable Service in Freeman Village
To the Editor,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the appalling service provided by the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA), specifically regarding their Internet service (Inet) in Freeman Village.
I applied for Inet service over two months ago and have received my bill for the monthly service despite the fact that the service has yet to be installed. This highlights a fundamental lack of respect for consumers.
Furthermore, the reason provided for the delayed installation is unacceptable. I was informed that there is “no space” on the existing telephone pole to accommodate the necessary equipment. This is a clear indication of poor planning and a failure to anticipate the growing demand for Internet services in the community.
The lack of transparency and communication from APUA regarding this issue is equally concerning. No date has been provided for the installation, leaving residents in limbo and unable to plan their lives and businesses accordingly.
This situation demands immediate attention from the APUA Board, the Head of the company, and the Prime Minister. Such incompetence and disregard for customer service are unacceptable from a public utility. It is imperative that action be taken to rectify this situation and ensure that APUA provides the level of service that the people of Antigua and Barbuda deserve.
Sincerely,
A concern Antiguan
