Kevon Small, 37, was convicted today of causing death by dangerous driving following an incident on September 1, 2021. Small’s vehicle collided with pedestrian Colin Anderson Joseph, 50, at the intersection of Market and New Streets.

Joseph was rushed to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was found to have severe trauma, including a fractured skull and leg injuries. Despite attempts to save him, Joseph was declared brain dead and died shortly after.

Prosecutors presented evidence, including surveillance footage and witness testimony, proving that Small’s driving met the legal threshold for dangerous driving resulting in death.
