Newly appointed Senator Kiz Johnson highlighted her deep roots in St. Philip’s South as she described her political identity following her Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party primary victory, telling listeners she sees herself as firmly grounded in the communities she hopes to represent.

Appearing on the Browne and Browne Show, Johnson was asked to introduce herself to the public and acknowledge the villages that make up the constituency. She responded by framing her political outlook around place, culture, and upbringing. “I am a woman of the village… a woman of country… a woman of East,” she said.
