


Shooting Case Sent to September Assizes
A Villa man accused of shooting another individual with a modified flare gun will stand trial in the September assizes.
Iandre Williams, now 22, faces multiple charges over a September 11, 2024, incident on Hans Street, Villa, where he allegedly shot Zahvante Hill, then 24, during an altercation.
He is charged with unlawful possession of a modified flare gun, possession of a .32 round of ammunition, shooting with intent to murder, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel committed the case to the High Court this week.
