HAPI Pledges Support to Help Bendals Family Rebuild After House Fire

HAPI has pledged support to help a Bendals family rebuild after a fire destroyed their home, leaving four people without shelter and claiming all of their belongings.
The community organization, in a social media post on Thursday, said the family had “lost every worldly possession” when the house went up in flames.
“Hapi will help you rebuild,” the group stated, while also thanking individuals who had already pledged assistance for the affected family.

The appeal referenced Senate President and St. George Senator Dr. Philmore Benjamin, saying the organization was responding to his call for help.
Photos shared online showed severe fire damage to the wooden structure, with parts of the roof and walls burned away and debris scattered throughout the property.
HAPI encouraged members of the public to contribute support as efforts begin to assist the family in recovering from the tragedy.
No information was immediately available on the cause of the fire or whether anyone was injured.
