June Jackson, Executive Director of the Gilbert Agricultural and Rural Development Center (GARDC), urges caution in purchases after a theft at Mercer Creek.

Thieves stole essential food, equipment, and donated items, disrupting training programs and causing property vandalism, which led to the cancellation of Monday’s sessions.

Despite the setback, Jackson reassured the public of the center’s commitment and appealed for donations. “We’ve graduated 8,000 young people. Any support, even $5, can make a difference,” she said.

The GARD Center is a premier training facility providing entrepreneurial and employment opportunities for youth and women.
