Gail Christian to Assume Chairmanship of the Caribbean Consular Corps in Toronto

The Office of the Consul General of Antigua and Barbuda is pleased to announce that Ms. Gail Christian, Consul General of Antigua and Barbuda in Toronto, will assume the Chairmanship of the Caribbean Consular Corps (CCC) for the 2026 term.
The CCC comprises thirteen Caribbean diplomatic and consular missions in Toronto and serves as a coordinating body for collaboration and collective advocacy on matters affecting Caribbean states and the Caribbean diaspora in the Greater Toronto Area. The rotating Chairmanship provides strategic leadership and represents the unified Caribbean voice at official and ceremonial engagements.
Her tenure will emphasize economic partnerships, education and skills development, diaspora engagement, and institutional strengthening of the Corps, including proposed measures to enhance continuity such as a CCC Troika system.
“This Chairmanship is both an honour and a responsibility to serve the wider Caribbean family in Canada,” Consul General Christian stated. “Together, we will amplify our collective voice and advance initiatives that benefit our people and our region.”
