Former MP Eustace ‘Teco’ Lake Dies After Illness

Tributes are pouring in following the death of former parliamentarian and government minister Eustace “Teco” Lake, who passed away Friday afternoon after a period of illness. He had been hospitalized in recent weeks.
Lake was elected on the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) ticket in the 2009 and 2014 general elections, representing St John’s Rural South. During his tenure, he served as Minister for Works and Housing.
In January 2018, Lake underwent a kidney transplant. Later that year, he was replaced as the ABLP’s candidate for Rural South by current MP Daryll Matthew.
Matthew has since extended condolences to Lake’s family, acknowledging his service and contribution to both the constituency and the wider nation.
