The Ministry of Health’s Central Board of Health (CBH) has announced a new round of food handlers’ training sessions scheduled for February 2026, and is urging all food handlers and prospective applicants to register early.
According to the CBH, registration is mandatory for anyone wishing to participate in the food handlers’ training course. Registration must be completed in person at the Central Board of Health offices on Upper Church Street, between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
New applicants are required to submit two passport-sized photographs, while those seeking renewal must present an expired food handler’s badge issued from 2018 onwards. A registration fee of EC$50 is also required.

The CBH has warned that anyone who misses their scheduled training session and wishes to reschedule will be charged an additional fee of EC$25.
Training sessions will be limited to 80 participants per session and will be held at the Multi-Purpose Centre in Perry Bay.
The scheduled dates and times are:
- 5 February 2026 – New applicants, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- 12 February 2026 – Retraining, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- 19 February 2026 – Retraining, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Central Board of Health has also emphasised that children will not be allowed at the training sessions.
