Royal Gardens Home Invasion Reported in Social Media Post

A home invasion involving an armed assault has been reported in the Royal Gardens area, bordering Hodges Bay and Cedar Grove, according to a post circulating on social media.

The incident is said to have occurred around 7:00pm, when a family had just sat down to dinner. The post claims that three masked young men, believed to be between 15 and 17 years old, forced their way into the home and attacked the father, allegedly striking him with a firearm.

The victims were reportedly tied up and robbed of several personal items before the suspects fled the scene on foot. It was further claimed that police responded quickly to the incident.

At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation from the police regarding the details of the report, including the age of the suspects or the extent of the injuries sustained.

The post has sparked concern among residents, with comparisons drawn to a series of home invasions that occurred around 2014. The author of the post warned that successful robberies can sometimes lead to copycat crimes.

Police have not yet issued a public statement, and investigations are understood to be ongoing. Members of the public are being urged to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
