Family of Jahkeem Browne ‘Heartbroken’ Following Death in Hatton
The family of Jahkeem Browne have said they are in “utter disbelief” following his death in the early hours of Monday morning.
Browne, 27, of Fort Road, was found unresponsive on the ground outside the former Bruce’s Night Club in Hatton at around 04:25 local time. He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor just over three hours later, at 07:30.
Police say investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the cause.
In a statement issued on behalf of the family, Browne’s younger sister acknowledged the pain of their loss and sought to honour his memory in light of public speculation.
The full statement reads:
“At this point there truly are no words to describe the heartbreak and utter disbelief we’re all feeling as a family. Despite some sentiments currently circulating about him, we’d like to let the public know that he was a human being, and he was loved beyond measure by persons both near and far.”
The family have asked for privacy as they grieve and await further information from the authorities.
ANR extends condolences to his loved ones.
