Explosion heard in Syria’s capital Damascus: state media 

An explosion has taken place inside a cafe in the Syrian capital, Damascus, according to state media.

An explosion occurred in the Hejaz area of Damascus on Thursday, SANA news agency reported.

Injuries were reported.

State-run Al-Ikhbariya television said that the ⁠nature of ⁠the blast ⁠was ⁠not immediately clear.
