Egg Price Hike Postponed, Cabinet Plans 60-Day Study on Production Costs

Prime Minister Gaston Browne informed the association that the Cabinet would consider removing import duties and taxes on eggs.

The association had sought a price hike due to heat waves and rising feed costs. A 60-day study will assess egg production costs, and a Poultry Board will be created to regulate pricing.

The Cabinet also discussed discounts on APUA water and raised concerns about the association importing feed and possibly exploiting consumers.
