The St. John’s Police Station renovation faces delays due to contractors being reassigned to another site, according to Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney.

He emphasized the station’s importance, serving many areas, and assured it would reopen by year’s end.

The $2 million renovation, approved last September, addresses mold, termites, and structural issues.

Operations have temporarily moved to the former Antigua Port Authority compound on Bay Street.

For Carnival, Commissioner Rodney advised parking in well-lit areas, carpooling, securing homes, and business owners reviewing their security with police guidance.
