Dejonte Buckley Charged with Larceny, Assault and Weapon Offences

DEJONTÈ BUCKLEY CHARGED WITH LARCENY, ASSAULT, AND WEAPON OFFENCES
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, June 18, 2026

The police have arrested and charged 21-year-old Dejontè Buckley of Nut Grove in connection with a larceny and assault incident that occurred at Cashew Hill on Tuesday, June 16.
Buckley has been charged with Larceny, Assault and Battery, Making Use of Threatening Language, and Possession of an Imitation Firearm.
The charges stem from an incident in which he is alleged to have entered a vehicle belonging to a resident of Cassada Gardens and stolen several items, including two wallets, cash, a white AirPods case, identification cards, bank cards, and other personal documents, collectively valued at approximately $3,716.00 ECC.
Buckley was subsequently apprehended and taken into police custody. Several items were later recovered by the police, including a ski mask and an imitation firearm.
The police are reminding members of the public to always secure their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables unattended inside.
