Damar Stapleton Sentenced Over $246,000 Cannabis Seizure

A Bendals Village man has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison after admitting to drug trafficking charges linked to the seizure of cannabis at Deep Water Harbour.
Damar Stapleton was sentenced by Justice John Spencer in the High Court on Friday, having pleaded guilty on May 12 to trafficking cannabis.
The conviction stems from a March 8, 2024 operation by police and Customs officers, who found 41 pounds of cannabis concealed in two boxes at the port. The drugs were valued at approximately $246,000.

He is also before the court on separate charges arising from the alleged importation of 20 pounds of cannabis through Deep Water Harbour on March 13, 2024. Those charges include possession of cannabis, possession with intent to transfer, and participation in the supply of the drug.
