Committal Hearing Delayed in Mount Obama Shooting Case

The committal hearing for Deon Lloyd, charged over the fatal shooting of Javorn Williams, has been postponed to 4 June in Antigua and Barbuda.

The incident occurred on 2 January at Mount Obama, formerly Boggy Peak, following a confrontation that ended with the 35-year-old Williams being shot dead.

Lloyd, 42, of Lower Ottos, appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week, but the proceedings did not go ahead as scheduled. He is represented by attorney Wendel Alexander.
