The trial of Dylan Simon, accused of defrauding Hadeed Motors, ended this week with closing arguments.

Simon, who worked at the dealership from 1998 to 2020, faces charges including larceny, forgery, and inputting false data.

The crimes allegedly occurred between December 30, 2019, and January 3, 2020, and were discovered in May 2020 during an internal audit after the Covid-19 lockdown.

Simon denies the charges, claiming he is being framed.

His lawyer argued that someone else could have used Simon’s profile and pointed out the lack of strict procedures at Hadeed Motors.

The prosecution described the case as one of “contrivance and manipulation,” alleging Simon used his skills to defraud the company. The verdict will be delivered on July 23.
