Prime Minister Gaston Browne is encouraging the public to choose locally produced honey as a way to support the economy and promote sustainability.

Speaking at a honey-tasting event held at his office, Mr Browne praised the distinctive taste of domestic varieties, including Wildflower Honey from Antigua and Logwood Honey from Barbuda.

He commended the Beekeepers’ Cooperative for raising the profile of local honey and highlighted the wider benefits of beekeeping, including its role in preserving biodiversity.

“Buying local makes a difference,” he said, urging residents to back the work of the nation’s beekeepers.
