Brittany Jno-Baptiste Admits to Murdering Wendy Finch

Brittany Jno-Baptiste, 24, has admitted to murdering 66-year-old Wendy Jane Finch in her Picadilly home on October 4, 2021, after days of testimony against her.

In court, Jno-Baptiste apologized to Finch’s family and expressed remorse for the pain caused, citing her struggles with cannabis-induced psychosis.

Court documents reveal Jno-Baptiste sought a phone call from Finch late at night but was refused. She later re-entered Finch’s home through an unlocked door and fatally stabbed her with pliers found in the living room.

Pathologist Dr. Lester Simon testified that Finch died from head trauma and severe blood loss caused by “tremendous force.”

Jno-Baptiste’s defense hinges on insanity, with her lawyer arguing her actions were influenced by cannabis-related psychosis.

The defense is set to present further evidence, including testimony from a forensic psychologist who diagnosed her mental disorders.
