Booby Alley project set to deliver 150 homes by August, PM says

Prime Minister Gaston Browne says up to 150 condominium units from the Booby Alley redevelopment could be handed over to residents in the Point area by August.
Speaking on his weekly programme, he said the units are expected to be completed by May or June, followed by about two months of work to install landscaping and basic amenities.
Mr Browne urged residents, particularly those on the ground floor, to help maintain the surroundings and add greenery to the area.
He said the project replaces overcrowded and inadequate housing, recalling that the site previously held more than 100 chattel homes, some without proper sanitation. Initial scepticism from residents, he added, has since given way to support as the development takes shape.
The prime minister also outlined other projects, including a new cruise upland facility on Lower Newgate Street, expected to be completed within months.
In Barbuda, he said major investments are continuing, with a hotel development involving Robert De Niro due to open its first phase by the end of the year and welcome guests early next year.
On infrastructure, Mr Browne said resurfacing work on All Saints Road would begin shortly, led by the Public Works Department after delays from an overseas contractor.
