Alvin Spencer has survived a second apparent targeted shooting, more than seven years after he was first wounded in a gun attack.

Spencer was shot in the neck at about 9:30 p.m. Monday after arriving at his home in Bellevue Estate. According to reports, he had just pulled into his yard when a vehicle stopped behind him. A masked gunman exited the vehicle, fired several rounds, then got back into the waiting vehicle, which sped away.

He was taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he underwent emergency surgery. Police said he is in stable condition.

The latest shooting comes more than seven years after Spencer was also the target of gun violence on June 17, 2019, when he sustained multiple gunshot wounds during an attack in Perry Bay. That incident was described at the time as a targeted shooting.

Police are continuing investigations into Monday night’s attack and are appealing for information that could help identify those responsible.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477). Police said even the smallest piece of information could assist the investigation.
