BARBUDAN ARRESTED FOR CANNABIS

A 43-year-old Barbudan man is due in court on September 30, to answer two drug charges.

On Monday, September 23, police in Barbuda executed a search warrant on a property occupied by Michael Smith and found him with 71 Ziploc plastic bags of the controlled substance cannabis.

He was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Cannabis, and Possession With Intent to Transfer.

The substance weighs 139 grams and is valued at $1,370. He was granted bail in the amount of $10,000 with no cash deposit and two sureties.
