Applications Open for CHOGM 2026 Social Media Correspondents

Organisers of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026 in Antigua and Barbuda are inviting young people to apply to become official social media correspondents for the international summit.

The initiative aims to recruit a team of content creators to help document and share activities surrounding CHOGM 2026 across digital platforms, highlighting youth perspectives on key issues expected to feature prominently at the meeting, including climate change, gender equality and civil society engagement.

Applicants must be active members or alumni of recognised youth or leadership programmes, including the Antigua and Barbuda National Youth Ambassador Programme, the CARICOM Youth Ambassador Programme, the National Youth Parliament, or a university or other tertiary institution. School leaders such as head boys, head girls and prefects are also eligible, as are young professionals with demonstrated interest in social and developmental issues.

Organisers say selected correspondents should have a strong on-camera presence and a basic understanding of production principles such as lighting, sound and framing. Applicants are also expected to be proficient in content creation tools, including the use of smartphones or HD cameras, wireless microphones, and video editing and lighting equipment.

The application deadline is Friday, February 6, 2026.

CHOGM 2026 will bring leaders from across the Commonwealth to Antigua and Barbuda, placing the country at the centre of global discussions on development, cooperation and shared challenges facing member states.
