The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has outlined key goals for 2025, including continued development in Barbuda, upgrading police stations, and enhancing resources and personnel.

Police Commissioner Atlee Rodney highlighted the need for improved infrastructure in Barbuda, an appeal he has reiterated previously. While stations in Bolans, Parham, and All Saints were completed in 2024, upgrades are ongoing at the St. John’s branch, addressing longstanding concerns that have previously sparked protests.

The force also plans to expand its use of high-tech crime-fighting tools, such as drones, which proved effective last year, and aims to secure additional equipment in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunications. Training and recruitment are also priorities, following the graduation of new officers last November, as the force seeks to further boost its numbers in 2025.
