Antigua and Barbuda Bakers Earn Nine Nominations at 2026 Caribbean Baking Awards

Antigua and Barbuda will be represented by nine bakers at the 2026 Caribbean Baking Awards after nominations closed on Feb. 1.
Carlonar Gerald of Beaucar’s Bakery and Patisserie leads the local field with four nominations: Innovative Baker of the Year, Best Vegan or Plant-Based Baker, Pastry Chef of the Year and Cake Hero.
Returning nominees include Lana Williams of The Purple Rose Batter, last year’s Cake Hero winner, who is competing for Innovative Baker of the Year, and Timoy Titus of Teez Delights, nominated for Best Cake Designer. Titus placed third in Best Cake in Show at the inaugural awards in Tortola in 2024.
Antigua and Barbuda also has nominees in Best Cake Designer, including Rolanda Hyde of Confection Connection 268 and Sammona Hillhouse of Mixing Bowl Delights. Hyde is also nominated for Best All Buttercream Designer.
Other local nominees are Rochelle Rovedas of Little Rock Confections (Best Bakery Shop of the Year), Cheni Greene of Sweet Things with Cheni (Best Learning Experience), Danielle George-John of Sweet Dreams Anu (Best Sculpted Cake), and Gabrielle Thomas of The Vanilla Orchid (Pastry Chef of the Year).
More than 60 bakers from 14 Caribbean territories are nominated. Public voting opens March 1 and closes April 1, 2026.
