National Statistics Division Launches Media Blitz to Boost Census Registration

With the 2026 Carnival Festivities over, executives at the National Statistics Division are now turning their attention to a major media blitz, starting on Monday August 10th 2026.
The Department is urging the public to tune in to the various media houses all week as team members from the National Housing and Population Committee will be making appearances on both radio and television in a bid to inform the public about the registration process that have been taking place in the twin island state over the past ten to eleven months.
Beginning on Monday, Deputy Census Officer Miss Tracelyn Joseph and Miss Debbie Barnes will make an appearance on the set of the Good Morning Antigua and Barbuda show on ABS Television and later that evening following the nightly news, National Advisory and Technical Committee members Isokee Perry and Martin Cave will be feature guests on the Monday night show.
Statchel Edwards, the Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, is also slated to appear on that program.
In regards to the ongoing recruitment and marketing drive, individuals interested in securing employment in the lucrative field can still do so by scanning the QR Code on the flyer, fill in the information and call the census hotline at 562 7495.
Public Service Announcements from Prime Minister, Hon Gaston Browne, Opposition Leader Hon Jamale Pringle, as well as Electronic Billboards, Town Cryer Loudspeakers, FaceBook and WhatsApp are some of the means being employed by the NHPC to get the message across.
The body is in the process of partnering with Kiron21 and Kid Fresh on a number of adverts.
