Search Intensifies as Teams Return to Brown’s Bay in Bid to Find Missing Shenett Jacobs

A major multi-agency search is getting underway this afternoon in the Brown’s Bay and Nonsuch Bay area as efforts continue to find Shenett Jacobs, who has now been missing for more than a week.

Search teams are expected to assemble at 2 p.m. at the location where Monday’s operation ended before spreading out across the surrounding area.

The effort will bring together officers from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, including its K-9 and Drone Units, along with the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Drone Unit. Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, Jacobs’ relatives, friends and other volunteers are also expected to participate.

Jacobs was last seen on Saturday, July 25, in the Brown’s Bay/Nonsuch Bay area. Several efforts have since been made to locate her, while appeals for information have continued.

She is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, has a brown complexion and black and grey hair. When last seen, Jacobs was wearing a yellow construction helmet, grey long-sleeved shirt, dark green trousers and grey Converse shoes.

Members of the public are being encouraged to remain vigilant, particularly those living, working or travelling in and around Brown’s Bay and Nonsuch Bay.

Anyone who may have seen Jacobs or who has information that could assist the search is asked to contact her daughter at 729-2443, Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda at 764-1451 or 725-2270, or the nearest police station.

Today’s operation marks another push to cover the area and uncover information that could help determine Jacobs’ whereabouts.
