LETTER: The Gray’s Green Community : One Aim, One Community, One Destiny …

Dear Editor,

Please allow me some space on your portal to first congratulate Mr. Cranston on his victory during the presidential elections for the Gray’s Green United Inc.

The election was a keenly contested one. Mr. Cranstan defeated Ms. Taryn Nicholas only by a narrow margin.

Although Mr. Cranstan won, it is my view that Ms. Nicholas should see herself as the champion.

According to the results, it was clear that Ms. Nicholas had an upward battle to overcome. It was a battle between herself vs Mr. Shaw, the outgoing president & Mr. Cranstan, the president candidate.

The results of Mr. Cranstan’s win, in my view, reflected the combined support his supporters along with the supporters coming from Mr. Shaw & his team after he threw in his towel at the last minute and chose to no longer participate in the election as a candidate and therefore, persuaded his supporters to support Mr. Cranston.

Very unfortunate, however, that is democracy.

Ms. Nicholas should not feel despondent from the results… The records certainly speak for itself. She has already made a sterling contribution to the Gray’s Green community in the past & she can continue to do so either independently or otherwise.

On the other hand, Mr. Cranstan should see the wisdom of working along with Ms. Nicholas because the records do show that she has great potential and she has a lot to offer towards the development of the Gray’s Green community.

With that been said, it would be nice to see what Mr. Cranston & his team has to offer to the future development of the Keithley Sheppard park since this will be at least Mr. Cranstan’s second time in office.

The community’s theme ” One Aim, One community & One Destiny definitely includes all….

The development of the community’s park etc. should not be about Mr. Cranstan solely; neither should it be about Ms. Nicholas but it should be about the combine effort of all within the community managed by the elected team.
