Antigua and Barbuda Loses Its Only Male Centenarian

Denzil O’Brien Cummins, Antigua and Barbuda’s only male centenarian, has died at the age of 101.
Cummins, of Sea View Farm, died Thursday evening, just days after he was recognized during this year’s Centenarian Week celebrations.
He was among the country’s senior citizens honored during outreach activities attended by Governor General Sir Rodney Williams and Director of the Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Division Dale O’Brien.
The Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation extended condolences to Cummins’ family and the Sea View Farm community, while residents remembered him as a man who touched many lives.
Cummins was born on Sept. 17, 1925.
