Three Men Break Into Paradise View Home, Brutally Assault Elderly Resident

Elderly Man Seriously Injured in Paradise View Home Invasion
An elderly man is nursing serious injuries after three men allegedly forced their way into his Paradise View home and assaulted him during a violent home invasion on Thursday afternoon.
Reports indicate that the attackers smashed through the front door of the property shortly after midday on June 18 before launching what witnesses described as a vicious attack on the victim.

The injured man was later transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre by ambulance, where he remains hospitalized. The full extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.
The incident has renewed concerns about violent home invasions and the impact such crimes have on victims, their families and surrounding communities.
Residents have expressed alarm over the attack, noting that home invasions can leave lasting emotional and psychological scars long after physical injuries have healed.
The assault has also sparked fears of a return to the wave of violent home invasions that plagued Antigua and Barbuda more than a decade ago, when a number of residents were targeted in their homes by armed criminals.
Police are investigating the incident and have not yet announced any arrests. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is being urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Department or Crime Stoppers.
