500K Bail for Four Charged in Major Pares Cannabis Case

Four men charged in connection with last week’s multi-million-dollar cannabis seizure near Pares Village were each granted $500,000 bail when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Monday.
Rodwell McCurdy, Vincent Isaac, Garry Creighton, and Javen Ryner are charged with possession of cannabis, drug trafficking, possession of cannabis plants, and cultivation of cannabis plants following a June 4 raid on an unlicensed plantation that yielded more than 1,200 pounds of cannabis and cannabis plants valued at over $3 million.
The magistrate ordered a $50,000 cash component, two sureties, reporting conditions, surrender of travel documents, and a travel ban. The matter was adjourned to August 26 for committal proceedings.
