PM Browne Visits Indian Naval Training Ship During Antigua Port Call

Prime Minister Gaston Browne visited the Indian naval training vessel INS Sudarshini while it was berthed at St. John’s Port, according to a post by India in Guyana.
The visit underscored the longstanding bilateral relationship between Antigua and Barbuda and India and provided an opportunity for discussions on future cooperation.
According to the post, Browne toured the vessel and viewed its training facilities. He reportedly expressed interest in exploring further maritime and military cooperation with India during a future visit to the country.

The INS Sudarshini is scheduled to depart Antigua on the next leg of its voyage, continuing on to the United States and other ports of call.
Photographs shared by India in Guyana showed the prime minister meeting members of the ship’s crew and exchanging greetings during the visit.
The vessel’s stop in Antigua formed part of its international voyage under the #Lokayan26 initiative.
