APUA Nears Completion of Tyrells Booster Station, Promises Improved Water Pressure for Liberta Communities

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, April 13, 2026 — The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) says it is in the final stages of commissioning a new booster station in Tyrells, a project aimed at improving water distribution to several elevated communities.
According to a notice issued Monday, the APUA Water Business Unit expects the facility to be completed within the week. The authority said the upgrade will enhance the hydraulic movement of water across the network, allowing for more consistent and reliable supply.
Residents in Liberta — particularly in Green Hill, Evergreen Tree Road, Horsford Hill and surrounding areas — are expected to benefit from noticeable improvements in water pressure and overall flow once the system becomes fully operational.
The project forms part of ongoing efforts to address longstanding distribution challenges in higher elevation المناطق, where low pressure has historically affected supply reliability.
