Antigua and Barbuda Hosts 20th Gillian Brazier Basketball Tournament with Regional and International Teams

Antigua and Barbuda has welcomed regional and international teams for the 20th edition of the Gillian Brazier Basketball Tournament, with participants arriving from Canada and Barbados.
The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority said it is supporting the tournament, which officially opened this week and will run until April 4.
Ahead of the opening, Under-16 female players from Canada, along with tournament organisers, visited Cedar Grove Primary School. The visit included interactions with students aimed at building excitement around the games and encouraging youth participation in sports.
Organisers say the tournament, now in its 20th year, continues to attract overseas teams while providing opportunities for local players to compete and develop.
The Tourism Authority noted that initiatives such as the tournament contribute to youth engagement while supporting Antigua and Barbuda’s growing focus on sports tourism.
