Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced moments ago that parliament will be prorogued. Browne said he would read a statement later in the sitting.

“In fact I will make a statement, not to preempt, very shortly that parliament will be prorogued,” he said.

The PM was speaking during tributes to late MP Eustace Lake, new MP Randy Baltimore and outgoing MP Sir Molwyn Joseph.

More to come.
