Antigua and Barbuda to Mark Alma Mater Day on March 27

— The Ministry of Education is encouraging residents to celebrate Alma Mater Day on Friday, March 27, 2026, as part of an initiative to honor the schools that helped shape their academic and personal development.
The observance, held under the theme “Reflecting with Pride,” invites past students to showcase their school spirit by wearing their alma mater uniforms, crests or school colors.
The ministry said the day also aims to promote giving back to educational institutions through financial donations, care packages or motivational outreach to current students.
Officials noted that Alma Mater Day serves as an opportunity for alumni to recognize the role schools have played in laying the foundation for their success, while inspiring the next generation.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties to schools and reinforce the value of education across Antigua and Barbuda.
