Antigua Carnival Queen to represent nation at St Maarten pageant

Antigua and Barbuda’s Queen of Carnival, Kia Kirwan, will represent the country at the St Maarten Carnival Caribbean Queen Pageant on 15 April at Carnival Village.
The event, held under the theme “Queens of Sun and Soil”, celebrates Caribbean women and their connection to heritage and identity.
Kirwan won the 2025 national crown after securing top honours in the Swimwear and Evening Wear segments.
Since then, she has represented Antigua and Barbuda at several regional competitions. She placed in the Top Five at the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant, where she also won Best Swimwear.
More recently, she was named First Runner-Up at the Miss OECS 2026 Pageant in Dominica, earning additional awards for Miss Amity, Best in Swimwear and Best in Evening Wear.
