Man Convicted of Sexually Assaulting 13-Year-Old

Cousin
A jury has found a man guilty of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old cousin after luring her into a car under the pretense of taking her to school in October 2022.
Jurors returned unanimous guilty verdicts on charges of serious indecency and indecent assault on Friday, following about 90 minutes of deliberations. The trial began on Jan. 26.
Prosecutors told the court that on Oct. 26, 2022, the defendant, then in his early twenties, offered the girl a ride to school, as he had done previously. Instead of driving her directly there, he traveled to several locations with another male cousin in the vehicle.
After dropping that passenger off at a market, he drove to an isolated dirt road.
There, prosecutors said, the man coerced and physically forced the girl into a sexual act and touched her inappropriately.
