WATCH: St. Philip’s South Road Works Generating Optimism, Johnson Says

Senator Kiz Johnson says ongoing road works in St. Philip’s South are already lifting public confidence, as long-awaited infrastructure upgrades begin to take shape across the constituency.
Speaking during an interview on the Morning Pointe show, Johnson pointed to active rehabilitation efforts, including work along Collins Road, which she said residents have been anticipating for some time.
She credited the progress to collaboration with the Ministry of Works, saying government support has been instrumental in moving the projects forward.
Johnson said she has seen the impact firsthand while travelling through the area and described growing excitement among residents as construction advances, despite the temporary inconveniences associated with roadwork.
The upgrades form part of broader infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing mobility and daily living conditions within the rural constituency, which includes communities such as Freetown, Bethesda, Piccadilly and surrounding areas.
