The Directorate of Gender Affairs (DoGA) has opened nominations for its International Women’s Day 2026: Spotlight Series, celebrating women whose service and generosity are transforming lives across Antigua and Barbuda.

Under the 2026 theme “Give to Gain,” the Spotlight Series will recognise a Female Philanthropist who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to community upliftment and social impact. DoGA is inviting members of the public, community groups, and organisations to nominate women who lead by example and consistently give of their time, resources, and care to improve the lives of others.

Nominees should reflect strong contributions in areas such as:

  • Outstanding community service
  • Supporting vulnerable groups
  • Empowering youth
  • Leading with compassion
  • Creating positive change

The Spotlight Series forms part of DoGA’s annual International Women’s Day activities and aims to highlight the often-unseen work of women who quietly strengthen families, communities, and national development.

Nominations close on Tuesday, 18 February 2026.

For nomination guidance and further information, contact the Directorate of Gender Affairs at [email protected] or call 1 (268) 560-5207. Persons may also visit DoGA at Lower Nevis Street.

DoGA encourages the public to participate by nominating deserving women who embody the spirit of giving and whose impact deserves national recognition.
